1930 Cyber Fraud Helpline — AI Assistant “Indu”
Indu is the first voice assistant built for a 1930 cyber-fraud helpline in Bharat — developed by Samruddh Bharat Technologies with the Goa Police AI-ML Lab, on top of the cloud telephony infrastructure SBT built for the helpline in 2025.
What Indu does
Indu handles cyber-fraud helpline calls with AI voice assistance, currently live in 12 languages — Konkani, Marathi, Hindi, English, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu — with more Eighth Schedule languages being added, built on SBT's existing cloud telephony backbone for Goa's 1930 helpline.
The launch
Indu launched on 7 September 2026 and was recognised by the Union Home Minister. The launch was covered by PIB, NDTV, The New Indian Express and DD News the same day, plus ContactCenterWorld and a post from Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant — with Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah commending Goa Police as a step ahead of the rest of the nation.

Indu's approach — AI voice assistance on SBT's cloud telephony backbone — is now under discussion with multiple state police departments and national agencies exploring similar helpline infrastructure.
